Pjerina Gaxha – Trainer
Mrs. Pjerina Gaxha holds the position of Director of Directorate for Personal Data Protection, at the Information and Personal Data Protection Commissioner in Albania. Mrs. Gaxha has a long working experience at this institution, where she has been working since 2010. This institution is the public authority responsible to supervise the right of information and the processing of personal data in public and private sector in the Republic of Albania. She graduated as a lawyer and has a master’s degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Tirana. Mr. Gaxha holds as well a professional master’s degree in Public Administration, from the Faculty of Economics, University of Tirana. She is licensed by the Albanian Chamber of Advocacy as an advocate. Previous working experiences include working in legal departments in various state institutions such as the Property Restitution and Compensation Agency, the National Tourism Agency, etc. She has practice of work at the Ministry of Justice, Madrid, Spain at the Department of Foreign Jurisdictions and also has experience in the field of human rights, during her professional working experience at the Center for Integrated Legal Services and Practices, as a lawyer and As / advocate in projects, where the center was implementing partner like UNHCR and Terre des Hommes projects. She has accomplished various trainings such as the continuous 2-year training “Data Protection Curriculum” of the EU project Europeaid / 129606 / C / SER / AL, and has been provided with the relevant certification. She also holds the Certificate of Trainer (TOT) for Fundamental Human Rights.
